I hesitate to post this for fear that many of you will get the wrong idea of what a one "HMS" is really all about but my commenters seem level-headed enough; well, save for that crack fiend co-author of mine but then she knows this already. Here goes nothing...

I'm not terribly selective when it comes to music but I will shout from hilltops that I nearly disdain almost all that is mainstream, simply by virtue of the fact that the populous that selects these tunes is highly moronic. That being stated I will admit that I have a very soft spot for select few of these songs. I will title them "Those That Will Live on in Infamy at Every High School Prom Until the End of Time". Example: "Starry Eyed Surprise". Who among you knew that this is by Paul Oakenfold whoever the heck that is on the Bunkka album. I wouldn't know any of that if I hadn't just downloaded the song, yes I just paid a dollar for the privilage of listening to it over and over and over until my head explodes and I transform into a twittering teeny-bopper incapable of saying anything more than "so he said..." and "like". Such is my fate. Yes this song will join a few numbers by Sugar Ray, perhaps a Shania Twain song, and couple others circa 1998. At least now I can bang my head against the wall for being such a dork, in cadance with:

Thug life
Shifty rolls the dice
Snake eyed surprise
Izing, mesmerizin
The mic, the sick ones
‘Cause what we are are victims of fun
C’mon, c’mon, the fun has just begun
C’mon, the fun has just begun
Ha ha

Yes therein lies my secret, Holly Marye is living quite the "Thug Life" funny how that happens

Fear not, for I have horrible musical tastes and don't know the difference between good and bad music. I didn't recognise any of the songs/bands you mentioned, nor did I know the difference between whether they were songs OR bands.

Haha.

HOLD THE PHONE!!!...please. I never said I had horrible taste in music, I like to think that the wide-range that I enjoy more wholly demonstrates my oh-so-cultured personna. Yes that & I am a pretentious snob, whataya gonna do?

I know you didn't say said you had a horrible taste in music, but I was saying that I DO have horrible tastes in music. When it comes to music, I am not the one you want to ask for advice or recommendations from.

Me, not you.

Winner *points away* Loser *points at self*

Get it?

oh holly--i appreciate your brutal honesty about coming out of the closet with your dual THUG side. who would've known!? i mean you're such a sweet, down to earth lovey person (at least i think, i mean i dont know for sure b/c i havne't met you yet, but from what charis says 'yes' this is a correct synopsis of your personna) no one would've guessed your second personna: wassup dog? Micah- I'm well aware of the fact that you weren't insulting my tastes and in all honesty I don't really care if anyone does

Miriam- I won't lie this whole friendship without having met still creeps me out a bit* but that was a sweet thing to say

Mary- I heart you. And just so you know I figured out it's less weird to dance like a crazy person in your car when there's someone in the passenger seat looking just as stupid so you better ride with me somewhere soon!

and lastly our new friend Steve- About that english class comment, all I'll say is those who live in glass houses should never throw stones Mr. Pronunciate...

holly: please forgive me for creeping you out--not my intention in the least. i'm just excited to come to CA. charis has told me all about you and mary frances. but from now until we meet, i'll refrain my comments so as not to make the situation worse to the point that you're utterly freaked out or horrified to meet me.

I didn't delete the comment, who knows, lets blame Micah :) Anyway Miss. Miriam, No worries, it was more of a joke than anything else comment to your heart's content. I will say the more I see of you the more I'm conviced of what Charis has said, you are indeed EXACTLY like Mary. As far as dealing with outgoing, what I like to call "bouncy", personalities goes please note my co-author who I spend about 7 days a week with and know almost better than anyone. Timid is certainly not a word you will describe me with after we meet. Reserved and slightly introverted perhaps but timid? NEVER! You will have fun in CA it's the best state after all.
